We will call him wiggles for now

"Wiggles" is moving and I can feel it! At first it was subtle and I questioned it. (It's probably just gas?) But each night around the same time, and also at work during the day, I will feel little tiny pops, like bubbles are popping in my tummy, or popcorn popping is a good way to describe it (I don't get the "fish bowl" feeling yet, but maybe that is to come later?) Even though it is not very strong, its still a really cool feeling. I look forward to it each night, it is so exciting. But this is my question if any of you folks know, how early does you baby hear? Because I swear our "Wiggles" moves like crazy when I am in my car and the radio is on. My next question for all you moms is, can you remember when you started to feel these movements? I am almost 15 weeks, but I started to feel it right at 14 weeks.

I can't even imagine how exciting it would be to start feeling your baby move around inside of you!

In my journal I have something like--I think I might be feeling movement--around 14 weeks. It wasn't until 17 weeks that I felt mega movement and knew for sure. I don't know about the hearing thing, but one thing that's fun to do is make a baby playlist and put the headphones on your belly. Zoe would "dance around" whenever we did that, and then that playlist would calm her after she was born because it was familiar. Also, "wiggles" is cute. It's hard to switch from the pregnancy name to the real one after they're born--at least it was for me.

I didn't feel Emma move until 18-ish weeks, I think. Maybe even later. For me it was totally a fish-bowl feeling--like something squirming around bumping gently against the sides, and it would always be on the same side. Paulo couldn't feel it on the outside at first, but it was still so cool. I actually really missed that feeling after she was born (though holding her in my arms was compensation).

Enjoy it!

be careful what you nick name your baby now, because it will stick, thus we have our bug.

Is the He a guess? Or are you using it as the genderless pronoun? I was telling Kyle yesterday I thought you were having a boy.

Emily: I know it is pretty exciting, I can't wait until Kory can feel it.

Rachel: Yeah its very subtle, but I really think that the little pops I feel is it moving. But who knows it could totally be just gas. :) I sort have been calling him/her that name since we had our ultrasound at 10 weeks and we saw it wiggle all over the place, it was such an amazing thing to see, and it really made this all real for me.

Leslie: I totally understand, sometimes when I don't feel it for a few hours or during the day I can't wait to lie down at night and feel him.

Kass: Whats wrong with Wiggles and bug? Both very cute baby pet names, I think ?

Kelli: I have been calling it a he for sometime now, but I really have no clue anymore. We used to be pretty confident that we were having a boy, but as we get closer to finding out we have no idea.

Wiggles just reminds me of that tv show. The Wiggles

So even if it DOES turn out a boy it fits so perfectly!

And besides Wiggles is a perfect name for a pirate ship first mate.

Wow that's awesome! I can't believe you felt him that early! I didn't feel Jack until I was 18 weeks and I didn't feel this little ninja until I was about 16. Cool dude.

That is so much fun! I love the feeling, except when I'm trying to fall asleep! I'm so glad you can feel the baby moving around, I have a feeling I'm going to miss the feeling after the baby is born... Did you have another Doc apt today? I had to do the glucose test to check for GDiabetes. The drink wasn't too bad, but I hate getting my blood drawn, hopefully I get good results!! aaaaaand I'm totally crashing right now from the insane amt of sugar in that drink and I'm about to fall asleep at work!!!!

Oh and I think I told you that I didn't know for sure that I was feeling the baby move until 16-18 weeksish?

(And I saw Dr. Jacob today and he was so nice!)

I like the name wiggles. Maybe that can be the nick name. I love when they start moving around, there is no greater feeling. Sounds like Wiggle's is a dancer.
