Gordon B. Hinkley

A couple of weeks ago I came across one of my journals that I write in from time to time whenever I find a quote that I like or one that stands out to me. I remember writing this particular one down. I wrote it down, after coming across it in the book by Gordon B. Hinkley called "Standing for Something". That book changed my perspective on life in so many ways. I know President Hinkley was a true prophet of God, and I am very sad for the loss of such a great man. He was a true example of what each of us needs to be, and he will be greatly missed.

"Love is the very essence of Life. It is the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Yet it is not found only at the end of the rainbow. Love is at the beginning also, and from it springs the beauty that arches across the sky on a stormy day. Love is the security for which children weep, the yearning of youth, the adhesive that binds marriage, and the lubricant that prevents devastating friction in the home. It is the peace of old age, the sunlight of hope shinning through death. How rich are those who enjoy it in their associations with family, friends and neighbors!"

Trolls for Children

Kory is convinced that if we had a baby it would look like a red headed little troll, that grunts instead of speaks. I am not sure where he gets that idea, because I think we were both pretty cute kids. Well at least until we hit the age of about 7. (We both hit the awkward age a little early). So I have posted a picture of me and a picture of him at about the same age. Take a look, you might agree with him or you might agree with me. However, I think we could make a pretty decent looking child because we were both pretty darn cute... So the child may have a really hard life from about 7 to about 20, but hey its worth a shot right?

This is a picture of Kory at about 2 or 3 I think. I am not sure exactly how old he is. His mom said he was a very serious child, but he looks like trouble to me.

This is a picture of Me. That red dress was my favorite, I remember twrilling it around in the gym after church. This was taken on my 3rd birthday.

Thai Food FRENZY

So Kassie told me to add a new post to my blog, apperently its not interesting enough. ( jk kass, I have just been busy at work)

I decided to leave a little plug for my absolutely favorite Thai food place. Its called Bangkok Grill. It is on 800 south in Orem Utah, right next to Zurchers. I love the food there. We always order the same thing, the Masaman Curry and Pad Thai. They are yummy!

The store is a small mom and pop shop, and they have only two servers that work there. Kory and I began eating there when we were first dating, and we now eat there for all our special occasions, birthdays, anniversaries you name it. The night Kory proposed even, began at Bangkok Grill.

We understand that many people already have their set place to eat Thai food and no matter what they compare every Thai place to that place. This is ours and it holds a very special place in our heart.

I'm pretty sad

I just found out that Heath Ledger died. I really liked him as an actor. My favorite movies of his were...

10 things I hate about you
Four Feathers
Knights Tale
The Patriot

Both Kory and I liked him as an actor. Its sad to think that he wont be in any other movies.

Snow Baffeled

So I don't know how they do it, but somehow people manage to keep all this snow off their driveways. Kory and I have no such luck. We have tried, but no matter what, we still get a layer of ice, and snow on our walks. We even tried the ice melt stuff, and it did nothing. I just want to know if there is some sort of trick we don't know about. If anyone has some suggestions, please let us know.

Back in Provo

Kory and I recently moved into our new house in good old Provo. Being natives of Provo it feels good to be back in our home town. (Even though Lindon is only two cities away, we all know its a whole different world there.) Just kidding, we loved living in Lindon, and were sad to leave, but are really excited to be in a house.

Our dog Zoe took some time to adjust to the house, we were worried about her at first. But it only took her a little over a week to realize we were here for good. I think she can sense my anxiety about having things out of order, and once I calmed down after things were a little more organized, she did as well.

She spends her days basking in the sun light from our front room windows, if she is not there she is snoozing in her bed by our kitchen vent. As much as I hate having a dog bed in our kitchen, I am really glad she is finally finding her place in our new home.

This is an exciting year for us, and we have lots to be thankful for. The blessings seem to be pouring in and we couldn't be happier.

Kory is still working for FSI, and loves it. He has really enjoyed working for them. He has loved it so much that he convinced his brother in law Kyle to get a job as well. He is really happy and excited to have kyle as a co-worker.

Kory is also in a band, with his nephew Nick and Brother in lay Kyle. They are really awesome. I am super proud of him. I will keep you posted on upcoming shows.

I just started a job working for Provo Craft. My great sister in law Kassie hooked me up. (Thanks Kass!) It has been a lot of fun. I love my job because I get to work on a Cricut Machine all day! I am also working for another company as well called, Applied Medical Visualizations doing design work. I get to do that from home, so I love that as well.

I will try to keep you updated on all our changes, and will be putting up pictures soon.

STARTING OVER :(

So last night in the wee hours of the night, while Kory was cutting and dying his hair, I was making some minor changes to my already oh so fabulous blog, and BAM! I deleted my entire blog! I didn't mean to I only wanted to delete the posting that I felt was not post worthy. It was all gone with just a click. I'll admit they did give me a warning, but I assumed it was for the post. Alas, my precious blog that I spent the past two months tracking our lives in faded away into the giant cyber world. I feel like I have been robbed of all my memories and the best ones at that. I was devastated. I tried to email support but alas, they were no help.

I am trying to be positive about it by starting over and making a new and improved blog. So welcome friends and family to our new and soon to be improved BLOG. (p.s I hate the word blog) Maybe its better this way.
