HANDS OFF!

I totally get it now. 5 people came up to me yesterday to rub my belly! One lady came up and attempted and I think my deer in head light expression of complete mortification scared her away. The thing is I am just barely showing. I mean I have felt like I have been showing for sometime now, but no one else seems to think so, until now. How do I ward off these unwanted approaches?

You just have to say "I HAVE A BUBBLE"... but I've just given up, especially with Sky's aunts and such... I haven't actually had a COMPLETE stranger walk up and try to touch my belly though.. AWKWARD!!

I haven't had many people rub my belly. I don't know if I look unapproachable, but it never bugs me too much. I would just say, "Oh can I touch your belly too?"

this isn't helpful but if you are like me, after almost a year of all that comes with pregnancy, you won't care.

I never discovered a way to do this but I didn't get as many belly rubs in my second pregnancy as my first. Maybe because Jack was always around and they figured I was busy and didn't have time to deal with their silly ooohs and awws.

Funny thing is, right now somebody out there reading this is saying...

"Wait a second... they don't like it when I do that?"

I suggest when people reach out and touch, you just rub your belly all over them, instead of letting them rub...that way it's so completely creepy and awkward that they'll never forget it. You'll be saving so many pregnant women from a similar fate.

You could just act like you like it too much.

I LOVED it when people touched my stomach---but only when it was basketball size. It was such a trophy to me that I had worked hard to earn. Think of it that way. Even if you aren't HUGE yet, just be glad you're showing and that people think you're adorable.

just wear a shirt that says "Yes I'm pregnant, Yes I DO NOT want to be touched, thank you." Man I wish I had one of those shirts myself! I bet you look so adorable with your little belly!

There is just something about someones belly sticking out, and people are tempted to poke or rub it, I don't understand it! That happened to my pregnant friend the other day, I thought she was going to lose it! I love all of your blogs about being pregnant. And here is my confession about the maternity pants: I am not pregnant, but I wore my black maternity pants to Brock's reception, they just seemed so comfy! Anyway!
